The Purple Guide is the UK guidance most event organisers and licensing teams work from. For a typical local event it suggests one toilet per 100 women, plus one toilet per 500 men and one urinal per 150 men.
Events that run longer, serve alcohol or happen in hot weather need more, so the calculator adds a margin for those and we will advise on the rest.
On sites, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 require toilets and washing facilities, and HSE workplace guidance sets the minimum numbers by headcount.
